SKAMBOMAMBO "Made to Specifcation Launch" March 17 2012
The "Made To Specification" Album Launch was a grand affair followed by an extensive gig programme that started in Poland and made it's way up to the UK. The SKAMBOlimo carried the band all over Szczecin the Band's hometown, from the official press conference to EMPIK Music Stores Launch, to Brama Jazz Cafe for a toast, to Free Blues Club for a full performance and then to other clubs for minor performances including Longplay Club, Cafe Jerzy and Rocker club, with an after party at City Hall and all of this in one afternoon on the 17th of March. The whole event was broadcast on the web. (Online Streaming)

Skambomambo is launching it's new CD MADE TO SPECIFICATION tomorrow on St. Patrick's Dat 17.03.2012.
The premier launch will be videostreamed LIVE on www.skambomambo.pl .
Transmission will start at 16:00 where SKAMBOMAMBO and crew will start their promotional tour of Szczecin Town in the SKAMBOLIMO and end God knows when in the morning!!!!!

As the band is coming over to the UK as from the 13th of April 2012, we
feel that this would be excellent promotional material for our ticket

Skambomambo - ścisła awangarda polskich zespołów ska - powraca do
aktywności koncertowej po przerwie związanej głównie z pracą nad nową
płytą. Nowy CD "Made to Specification" zostanie wydany w marcu 2012, ale
materiał został już z sukcesem przetestowany na żywej publiczności
podczas dwutygodniowego tournee po Wielkiej Brytanii w czerwcu 2011.
Szczecińska publiczność ma okazję poznać nowy materiał Skambomambo
dzięki serii koncertów, które odbędą się w Szczecinie w pierwszej
połowie grudnia. Po raz pierwszy zaprezentowana zostanie między innymi
napisana specjalnie dla rodzinnego miasta zespołu piosenka pt. "Hello
Szczecin". Zespół wystąpi w odnowionym składzie - na perkusji znany z
grania z Maćkiem Silskim Mirek "Maupa" Staniewicz oraz na basie Michał
Podciechowski (Moonligt, Fractal Tree).
Skambomambo to przede
wszystkim angielskie teksty i śródziemnomorski temperament lidera i
wokalisty, Don Mario Joseph Gaetanu Cordina - Saliba, czyli Mario
Cordina, oraz energetyczna muzyka luźno oparta o gatunek ska, z sekcją
dętą w centrum uwagi. W nowych utworach muzycy Skambomambo redefiniują
jamajską tradycję ska i reggae, wplatając w twórczość wpływy z wielu
pozornie odległych stylistyk, nie stroniąc od punk rocka, swingu, popu.
